I never leave a group of women, or a dinner party and regret that I listened too much, but oh, how many times did I regret that I talked too much. What real wisdom the book of Proverbs has to share with us. I thank you for this kind and loving reminder. Why is it that we tend to feel we always need to say something and then sometimes end up regretting it?

I've prayed that the Holy Spirit would keep my mouth shut when it should be shut and give me the words to speak when those opportunities present themselves to share truths. My flesh at times thinks 'surely I need to respond to this' but felt no push from the Holy Spirit. It seems everytime I do speak on those times, it's a mistake.

Only God knows the heart of the other person. I so want to hear God's voice and be prompted as to when to speak.

This is from a sister who has put her foot in her mouth way too often.
