I have always loved to find unique decorative items, antiques mostly. I also love to create, and re-do things. Here is a sample of my estate sale & garage sale finds, most of it between 50 cents and $3... with a little help from me, using paint, changing it's original purpose, etc. I am having so much fun!! It's amazing what people will sell something for if they are tired of it. It's like a giant Easter egg hunt for me!

Are you working on any projects this summer?

I was so glad when I noticed your post on Google +. You are very creative. I love these finds of yours. I don't know that I have the eyes to see like you do. But it's always good to read your writings and to see your photos. I am working on my writing.

Love you,

Love all all of these pieces you have found! What fun! I also love to always have something going on creatively. When my friends and I go out seems we always end up at the antique and craft stores.

OK, those are some of the coolest *finds* I've ever seen!! I want to be searching where you're at!! We just had a town-wide garage sale extravaganza. We bought some goodies - just small stuff. But I have to admit that I am intrigued by this re-purposing idea. I like watching remodeling shows and such. One of my favorites is called, "Flea Market Flip." On this show, people go out and buy stuff at flea markets, change them up, and then re-sell them. It's fascinating to me!

Would love some *after* photos when you're done!!

Me? No projects for this summer other than helping my youngest son and his fiancee with their wedding in July! After that, I might have to re-purpose myself!!

(So good to see you in Blog Land. I miss you!)

You found interesting things to decorate with! I am working on a summer wreath made from burlap. It's slow going.

Loved the post.
As you know, God is THE CREATOR.
So, if we are made in his image,
we are little creators.

Did I see even a "hub cap(s) in that
last photo.

I tend to "repurpose" scrap steel,
wood, engines etc. So they would
not fit in with house hold things.
But work great in the shop.

Thanks for the post.

You have a really good eye, I really like the things you found. I have trouble imagining what something could be when I find things but I usually by something that catches my fancy and figure it out when I get it home. This summer we are going to continue to sort through items from my in-laws home (digitizing photos and papers etc, going through personal items) and oddly enough decluttering our own house said...

We would get in trouble together if we could ever get our act together and see each other. These pieces look like soooooooooooo much fun!!! I need to come your way! Enjoy, you creative one!
