Christmas Open House..please come in!...

I love to picture people in their homes, and especially at Christmas, to see what your ideas are and how Christmas inspires you to decorate...
So I am opening my home today and inviting you in for a quick tour, just the downstairs... all the stuff that was laying around has been temporarily moved out of camera view!...
As I looked at these pictures I thought... 'what a nice neat home this person has, no clutter... and then I laughed with some guilt, as I pictured what the upstairs looks like right this minute!!...
I would love to see what you have done in your home...
Merry Christmas!

Sonja,

What a beautiful brick house. Your front door is very pretty, and the mini Christmas trees also look so pretty all lit up. Ok when I finally got done starring at the first picture I moved on to the others, and you have a beautiful house, and your Christmas decor is very pretty. I like that you admitted to tossing the clutter upstairs :o)

God bless your evening

Oh Sonja, you have inspired me. What a beautiful home, so much more than a house, and that is evident in the pictures. I feel like 'movin' in' ha-ha. Thanks for being so generous.

Dear Sonja,
What a stately entrance, the stained glass door, the red brick building all dressed up for Christmas.
I admire the way you carefully have placed your decorations, so classy and Christmas tale like.
Each peace carefully chosen and at its proper place.
It's also all so very controlled, neat and tidy.
By us it's quite the opposite; 16 boxes brought down from the attic have exploded all over the house, in every available corner.
Most of our decorations are homemade.
Gunnar every year is shocked by the sight of our old julenisse sitting by the table.
No matter how I try to hint what is coming; he's jumping high by the sight. (or maybe it is only to please me?)

Today is second Sunday in Advent, and we'll light to candles on our Advent wreath.
Christmas will be here, as always long before I am ready.
Nevertheless; I'm looking forwards to the great gathering.
So are you, I presume.

Oh I love open houses! Thank you for the invite. Your home is soo pretty. I especially love the front entrance. We don't have many brick houses where I am from and I just LOVE the homey way it looks. Everything was wonderful. I would love to see this all (and you) in person, but this was very nice indeed. I am "trying" to get mine all done so I can welcome people in too. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Dear Sonja,
I am so happy you invited us into your home. It is really lovely and yes, very tidy :) I always have a room that no one gets to see . Ha ha. I just feel blessed that you shared your blessed home and haven with us. I remember a verse that says "A wise women builds her home" I don't remember where in the bible I read it, but you are one of the wisest women I know and kindest.
love to you always!
Your friend Gwen

Oh, how lovely! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! The first thing I thought of was "no clutter"!!! But with your comment on the upstairs, I had to laugh! That's where the majority of mine is too.

Hope y'all are doing well! Love those kitchen shots!

Hi Sonja,

What a beautiful home. I can imagine sitting with you in that beautiful kitchen chatting about the LORD and our families. Good stuff!

I have missed visiting with you while I was off line two weeks and I'll be back to catch up on posts I've missed but for now I wanted to say, you have a surprise over at my blog...starbucks.

Love you much! Merry Christmas!
