ain't...

He was just a little boy, on a week's first day, wandering home from Bible school, and dawdling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass, and he found a caterpillar. He found a fluffy milkweed pod, and blew out all the filler.

A bird's nest in a tree overhead, so wisely placed up so high.. was just another wonder, that caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zigzag course, and hailed him from the lawn, asked him where he'd been that day, and what was going on.

'I've been to Bible School,' he said, and turned a piece of sod. He picked up a wiggly worm replying, 'I've learned a lot about God.'

''M'm, very fine way,' the neighbor said, 'for a boy to spend his time. If you'll tell me where God is, I'll give you a brand new dime.'

Quick as a flash the answer came!... nor were his accents faint. 'I'll give you a dollar, Mister, if you can tell me where God ain't.'

Sonja - I agree. I am so glad there is nowhere He isn't, or as David said, whether we ascend into the heavens or descend in the other direction, He can find us and He is there!
God bless you - Marsha

adorable and so true! it's one of my favorite
things to say to agnostics. "how can you ask
me to prove there is a God, when His very
creation has made Him plain as day!"

"for since the creation of the world GOd's invisible
qualities-His eternal power and divine nature-
have been CLEARLY seen, being understood from
what has been made, so that men are without
excuse." romans 1:20

Indeed, the heaven's declare His glory!

Such a sweet sentiment; and I love the little guy in the photo.

Maybe our world leaders should put some children on their staffs and then solicit their advice?

Hugs,
Kathleen

Perfect oneliners, just the way your father would have loved them.
Reminds me of my favorite Psalm 139:7 Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?

I don't want to flee, I want to be near.

Hi Sonja,

Reading this was so special, because it reminded me that at this "very moment" while I'm blogging, the Lord is watching me, thinking about me, teaching me and loving me.

I'm smiling from the inside out :o)
Thanks for a great post.

God bless you,
Michele
