Once in awhile I get out one of my 'past treasures' boxes or bins, and I get a brand new blessing out of the original blessing that came my way.
This was today's... sent to me from my daughter a while back.
When our 3 kids were little, it was the hope and prayer of my heart that as they grew up and became adults, that our relationship would be the kind that would bless and encourage them as they married and became parents themselves.
This card reminds me that so many of those prayers have been answered. We are so blessed by our 3 children, and we share a friendship with them that enriches us every day. They are definitely the 3 jewels in our earthly crowns (if there is such a thing!)... Not to mention the 6 tiny jewels that have also been added with our grandkids. :)

That's so sweet. I felt that way about my
mother. She was my best friend and I started
telling everyone that when I was about ten
I think!
That is a lovely sentiment. I would certainly be honored and thrilled to have received such a card. (I save my cards, too, in a box called "My Treasures.")
Wow! What a fantastic card. I can see why you kept it and why it continues to bless you. I bet you walk on air when you read it. That is truly a priceless treasure.
Blessings

Oh past cards...from children, friends and husband! They can just bring back the most precious of memories.
I pray the same for mine also...we aren't there yet, but I am living by faith that one day I will see the completion of His work.
Thanks for sharing and encouraging.
Awesome moments. The treasusre and blessings of FAMILY can't be measured, yet they fill our hearts day after day - year after year.

As dear to me as are my two sons, my daughter is a gift I often find difficult to describe. She's a busy lady now, with a big job, a lively 14 year old daughter, and a fiance ... so we are not quite so visible on her radar at present. No matter, she is ever near my thoughts & prayers.
How grateful I am to see your prayers born out in this way. Your joy; God's glory.
Hugs,
Kathleen
We grieve in a way when our children leave home to start homes of their own...and then we realize that the new relationship is so rich...so very rich!
What a wonderful card! I feel the same way about my mom, and I pray that my girls feel the same about me.
What a beautiful reminder! It is truly a treasure, a priceless one! Yes, you are a woman who walks in the light of Proverbs 31. What a blessing for your family, and all of us!

YOU are the crown jewel in the box my dear...Anita
This is a wonderful card. I save my old cards as well (thought I was the only one who did that) What a blessing to have such a good relationships with your chldren
What a sweet card! Right now, my boys are young, but I have the same prayer that our relationship will remain close as they grow older. Thank you for showing that it is possible.
I love the friendship that I share with my mom. I pray my kids will one day feel the same about me!

I love the treasure box idea. I've often had the intention of starting counting my blessings. Some evil doesn't like the idea and it always get postponed.Since I am not blessed with the typical bookkeeper mind, the idea of a box appeals to me.
How beautiful.
There are no marriages in my family yet, but my two sons are such wonderful friends. It is a blessing to have had the privilege of growing up with them - and then to be able to enjoy them as the men they have become. Yes, earthly jewels...
And I have some of those treasures, too. Many of them make their appearance at Christmas time.
And my dear mom? Oh, she is my treasure, too. And she has saved so many of my mementos, and my sons', that she keeps close to her heart. For instance, on her mantle, nestled in among the "expensive" stuff is a plaster house that my oldest painted (none too well), and a styrofoam cup that holds upright a cross made out of straws (my youngest's contribution). I'm sure my mom would be the first one to tell you she'd gladly get rid of all the other stuff for the joy of keeping those priceless gifts.
God is a God of great blessing...
GOD BLESS!
How I identify with this post! I am soo blessed to have the relationship I do with my kids...doesn't get much better does it? Have a wonderful week-end! HUGS
you are very blessed, and i am so happy that you are.
nothing brings us greater joy than a child whose heart
leans into His.
boomer!!!
And what a treasure that card is - not to mention the one who sent it.
And life would not be nearly so much fun without those "little jewels" - would it?
Blessings to you - Marsha
YES!!!! I REMEMBER COMING HERE THINKING, OH NO, this is what I was working on....I did not steal your idea...I had been working on the draft! WE ARE THINKING THE SAME THOUGHT!!! Actually, the post I have up now is the post that I had lost last week....you dear, are a 25 carat diamond! BLESS YOU SWEET SONJA! Anita
Dear Sonja,
Thank you so much for visiting me, and for leaving a kind comment. Anita, indeed (there she is right above me!!!) is a blessing. Love her so.
I love this post. This is a card I most certainly would have gifted my mom. She was an earthly angel and is now a heavenly one.
It is a phenomenal blessing that we may have that joy of friendship with our own children as well.
Peace and love to you,
- Irina
I'm so glad it blessed you, Mom! YOU bless me every day. I pray that one day my 3 girls will want to be my friend too. It's kind of a far-off dream some days especially with 2 of those girls in the thick of their teen years. God is more than able! I HEART MY PRECIOUS MOM!
