Special day, special guy...

This is MY guy!

This is him then... when we first met and married.

He's always had my heart... never more than now!

The years have taught us both so many things. His birthday is coming right up, and I love him more than ever.

The years have done that... increased, changed, strengthened and renewed the love in my heart for this man.

GOD has done that for both of us, and we know it!

We have shared a lot of days, and years together. I know my husband, and he knows me. There is something that happens along the way that makes these days together sweeter than ever before.

Happy Birthday to God's precious gift for my life... Joe

Is is improper to tell someone that her husband is hunky? It's OK, I think mine is hunky too so it's a harmless observation!

Happy Birthday to him your man!
I couldn't agree more that the years together just make it better and sweeter.

You mentioned that you were still having problems with your blog. I am too, on and off. This morning, my fonts and colors changed all on their own.

I hope yours settles down and stops frustrating you.

Dear Sonja,
You've got a beautiful husband, and together you must be a gorgeous sight, a match truly made in heaven.
I used to pray God for Mr. Right and he took his time to send him..
I think you found yours earlier in life, and I agree, being married is getter richer and better all the time.
What a gift life can be.

What a special tribute and reminder to us all that if we allow the Lord to be in the center we will see the silver He is refining, even in our marriages.

My mom just talked about this the other day...the sweetness of loving one person for all her life.

Happy Birthday to him...and to you both blessings in your marriage

I love the photo and it's vintage - - so like ours! I also appreciate your heart, Sonja. The young ones coming behind can see & know there is a love that endures. What a fabulous model you both set for them. May you celebrate many more joy-filled birthdays to come.

Oh Sonja,

HE IS HANDSOME! And his name is special to me; that was my daddy's name. It is a kind name, the name of our Lord's "foster" father, and I am sure he was a good man. All the Joe's I have ever known were gentleman, and I can tell that YOUR JOE is a winner! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE! JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE!

Thank you dear one for visiting! Anita

You're right... there's something that happens along the way for those of us who choose to do the difficult thing of loving the most excellent way. Eventually, it becomes less difficult and more fulfilling. This has certainly been the case we us!

Happy Birthday to you man.

:) He's a handsome lad, he is!

And what a blessing to share such love, especially in these times when it seems so difficult for people to love and stay in love. I know what you mean about the love deepening and strengthening as you've walked down life's path together. It's never a smooth path, but it isn't the smoothness of the path that strengthens the love. It's the reaching out of that hand to help stable you...to help keep you from stumbling. That's love!
