Break...

Just so no one thinks I've gone off into the sunset, I'm letting you know that I'm taking a break...

It's funny, I never really wrote anything before I started blogging 3 years ago, never even felt the urge to write.

Blogging began almost accidentally for me, and it continued all during the last 3 years.

I'm not a true writer, not with the passion and gift that many of you have, but I do love the way it enables me to express my heart, and it has grown on me as I've shared and gotten to 'know' so many of you.

This is a time of 'other'... there are many things going on within our family and business that are new chapters, so for awhile, I'm focusing my time and heart on those areas.

I'm sure I'll be back, just not sure exactly when.

I'll be checking in with you, and for now, I'll miss your comments and fellowship on this page.

I'll see you after awhile.

Love,

I am sure that whomever God brings to you to minister to during your break will be because God set up a divine appointment for you. I love reading your thoughts and I will miss you but sometimes there are other things.
Really, I always thought you were a writer and I though maybe you had a book somewhere, but were to shy to tell us.
I love your writing.
Blessing to you,
It is always better to follow where the Lord leads. :)

Well, as one who was first drawn into your world with your reflections of life on the road with your preaching dad, I disagree about the writing part. I love the way you write. I'm hoping that during your break, God will bring more of those memories to the mind for you to share.

But on the need to break, I totally agree with the benefit of it. When it becomes something you no longer look forward to doing, it's time to step into the sunshine of what you do.

I. Will. Miss. Your. Blogface.

I'll be here when you return. I'm so glad you're blogspot and won't fade into the mist. (Which apparently is NOT going to happen. I feel like Chicken Little.)

Huge hugs.

Dear Sonja,
I truly hope you will be back soon. You've got the gift of sharing histories, love and inspiration, and I shall miss you a lot.
You will still be in my prayers. Your father's book is lying on a little table beside the TV, so I am remembered about you and your family often.
Your Felisol

Sonja -
Hope your break is refreshing and that it gives you the time you need to focus on the "other" good things in your life.

You will be missed, though, so do come back when life allows.
Blessings to you - Marsha

I understand but will miss you now that I finally got back. I, like you, am not a writer, but enjoy the inner action with others that are so special, like you!

I have always enjoyed reading what you write; therefore, you seem just like a writer to me! Sometimes I feel as if I'm on a teeter-totter in Blogdom. I show back up only to find that you are going to that "other." Such a good name for it, too. All the best and hurry back!

I am so sad, but I respect your decision. You have become such a good blogging friend to me and you have taught me so much. I will miss you! Thank you for everything, and if God leads, we will be waiting.

Darling Sonja,

I had missed you so much and I had been following you, but like with so many people, life DOES call and we get so busy!!! I so agree about blogging. I had ALWAYS ENJOYED WRITING, and in college, my profs always encouraged me to WRITE. But I had NO AUDIENCE after I graduated. But blogging provided just that, and it has CHANGED MY LIFE. But most of all, it is people like YOU and many others whose kindness and fellowship has kept me writing, creating, dreaming and now, PLANNING for another adventure, GOD WILLING.

ENJOY YOUR BREAK and may JESUS richly bless all of your endeavors my dearest! Anita

Hi Sonja,
Writer you are. I completely understand. I've been away from blogland for a month and have been recentering myself with God's help and my wonderful Anita. I write because it comes out of me. It's in us and has to come out. And maybe we can with God's help be a blessing to others. This is what you do.
Blessings,
Ruben

SONJA!

I am so happy to see you come by! Are you back in the blogging seat???? Taking a break is important, and for those of us who are ADDICTED to writing, once in a while it is good to clear the mind and let the spirit of God fill our minds.

I hope you are well, and thank you for taking the time to come to visit me. I hope the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir got you to get up and REJOICE singing OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!! God is GREAT. I made a huge decision and like any other faith-based change in life, I think there will be valuable lessons on this journey. The success is staying on the path.

HUGS AND WISHES for a healthy and happy break!!! Anita

Thanks for the update. I was thinking about you when I was out in the garden. When I am out there away from the house and God brings people to my mind. You were one of them. Then like He does, you gave an update. I always loves when He just gives me tiny little gifts.
Thanks I am glad to know you are okay and I know that what ever you are doing is the best.
