The word girl...

This is for pure fun!

Do you know my friend Kathleen at Sassy Granny?

She is 'the word girl'.

Not just an occasional word that makes me turn to the dictionary, but many words, and not only many words, but many words that make perfect sense and a gift that puts them together in such a way that even a plain thinker like me... is deeply blessed!

I call it Sassy's Granictionary...

Look at a few examples of the words, wit and wise thinking of her blog:

thraldom
domestic dithering
miopicitis
quieter quiet
agrarian
desparate desparation
apocalypticism
leporids
gitty on up
the decided Y
nifty nostrums
galvanizing character
conundrumming
clustered blessings
messy morass
verdantness
provocative ponderance
dawn's thermals
combustible vitriol

Her writing makes me smile, often squirm, and always think! She is a truth teller who challenges my own faith since she always points to Jesus, and her grasp of words will make you a constant follower in case you aren't already.

Just a high five for fun this morning to my friend, Sassy Granny! :)

You know, Sonja, I'm gonna head over there right now. How thoughtful of you to think of your friend. You know that I always love meeting another "wordsmith"!

GOD BLESS!

I love Kathleen! And yes, she is smart and always makes me think after reading her blog posts. She is just as amazing in person. She is one blogger that I've had the privilege of spending time with. We've had lunch and taking day trips to northern Arizona together. Each time has been a joy for me. Kathleen is sassy but she's such fun to be with. I only wish she still lived in AZ!

Love you,
Debbie

Do you think that might be why almost
150 of us read her every post????????

Why she even takes time to communicate
with us common folks.

Thanks for this post. Enjoyed.

Why haven't I heard of this Sassy Granny before? She sounds like a blogger I would love to read.

I love words. I love people who love words. I love the Word, and I love people who point to The Word.

Wow ... to think I'm "published" and I didn't even know it!! Talk about stupefaction!

Sonja, you just bless my socks off (though, quite frankly, I'm not wearing any at the moment). No matter, I'm grateful beyond WORDS, and likewise feel compelled & inspired by the wisdom you share.

Beyond it all - call it a "beyonderism" - is the common denominator we share: our Savior & Lord. Now there's a Word Smith if ever there was one!

I love you dearly, my forever sister.

Kathleen

There is nothing quite like a good wordsmith to get your noggin joggin.

How fortunate are we my friend, to have met a lady like Sassy Granny? How special that you featured her on this post. Funny thing is, I just came from her blog. As I reading down through the last two posts, I did like I always do with her writing...I stopped reread, and then reread again. I wanted to make sure I was following her train of thought. Quite honestly, I have learned more new words from her in the last few years, than I ever learned from my English teacher in high school. And like you said, she radiates love for the God that she serves. I thank God so often for her, and you know what? I thank Him for creating you too. What beautiful ladies you both are! You both continually encourage and inspire me to keep pressing on.

Congratulations Sassy Granny! You certainly deserve this honor!
