Sharing a HUGE praise!....

Early this morning, our dil emailed us to pray for our son Tommy. He was in bed and really sick. Tommy has probably not spent an hour in bed during his waking hours in his entire life, he is the 'energizer bunny'. So we immediately were on high alert.

He had gone to the Texas Rangers game yesterday and was miserable. They were asking us to pray, and taking him to the clinic in their small town (the one they recently moved to) as soon as it opened.

Long story short... the clinic sent him to the big hospital in Tyler and right away suspected he had the West Nile Virus.

He called me from his cell phone a little while ago. They were giving him an IV and he does have the Virus, but because he is young, in great shape, and caught it early, it looks like he is going home tonight and should be feeling better in a few days.

This has been a loooong day, with many prayers raised. You know how fast we can think of the very worst case scenarios. I am so thankful that this has such a happy ending. All day long, as I prayed, I have also known that God is in control. That peace is priceless.

Thanking God, and on the lookout for mosquitoes! :)

I am so glad you were able to offer up praise. I read how bad the West Nile virus was this year in Texas. I am so glad he is young and healthy and was able to call you. God is so good. I am so thankful they were able to catch it so fast.

Oh my, that can be scary! So glad you immediately went to the Lord in prayer. And praise Him that Tommy will be OK in time.

That West Nile Virus is something else. My hometown of Lindenhurst on Long Island has had many cases this summer. They are spraying for mosquitoes frequently.

Love you sis,
Debbie

Wow...what a praise. This West Nile stuff is terrible. My daughter is an ICU nurse in a large hospital in Dallas. The unit has been overwhelmed with very sick W. Nile patients.

Everyone...let's .use our spray.

Praise the LORD!! I praise Him for his healing, and I praise Him for his wisdom. Clearly, Mommy and Daddy had listening hearts to know that they needed to act.

What a joy this was to open this morning.

I know West Nile's nothing to mess with. You hear stories that are pretty scary, so I'm grateful for your grandson's outcome & can totally relate to your day of concern. Prayer does make all the difference!

So glad he's home and will be okay. West Nile has really hit hard this year b/c of the heat....scary...but so grateful He's bigger than anything that comes against us. Have a safe and happy weekend.

Oh, that was my first thought and how sad I was to see the words. Praise God that he is well on the mend. What a beautiful family he has! Praying for a speedy and complete recovery for him.
