Me: God, can I ask you a question?
Me: Promise you won’t get mad.
Me: Why did you let so much stuff happen to me today?
Me: Well, I woke up late.
Me: My car took forever to start.
Me: At lunch they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait.
Me: On the way home, my phone went dead, just as I picked up a call.
Me: And on top of it all, when I got home I just wanted to soak my feet in my new foot massager and relax, but it wouldn’t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did you do that?
God: Let me see, the Death Angel was at your bed this morning and I had to send one of the other angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that.
GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick and I didn’t want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn’t afford to miss work.
God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.
God: Don’t be sorry, just learn to trust me … in all things, the good and the bad.
God: And don’t doubt that my plan for your day is always better than your plan.
Me: I won’t God. And let me just tell you God, thank you for everything today.
God: You’re welcome child. It was just another day being your God, and I love looking after my children.
I've seen something similar to this before, it's still a good reminder, and I am sure things like this happen with God and us over and over again... probably many times every day!

Hi, I've seen this before and always reminds me to be thankful regardless of the circumstances.
Have a great day!

Yes, and we must always believe this to be so...He's ever and always on the job and He knows what He is doing.
Love this! Everything works together for those who beleive GOd!
Oh is this ever true? He is always and forever on our side doing what is best for us!
Needed this one, Sonja! I've been having a few days like this recently . . . broken phone, broken printer, broken DVD player this morning for homeschool. Weird stuff I can't understand, can't control, and am easily frustrated in the process.
Oh the keeping peace and safety of Jesus! Where would I be tonight without it?

Well, this certainly puts things into proper perspective. I've had days like this too. We never really know how God is at work behind the scenes. I think if we really knew, we'd be praising Him more often.
Yes, learning to trust Him in all things is so important.
Loved this one.

Thanks for this reminder. God is here, not on and off, but all the time. Imagine when we get to see behind that glass darkly!
If we could only see the big picture ...
Loved this!
I was just sitting in my chair and looking out the window praying for a urgent need we have, I know in my prayer was the words Why Lord? Why can't anything ever be easy, why must it just keep dragging on and on. I came in here to get my Bible and I felt compelled to read your post. I am so glad I did. It was just the wake up I needed this morning. I have never seen this before so thank you,
Kim
I've never seen this, but how awesome! And, drives home a point so beautifully. Thanks for sharing!
came over from farmgirl kim. really nicely done.
I've seen this before, but as always, it's an excellent reminder that God knows what we don't and that He's got us covered ... even if the bad stuff happens, He's still in control and He'll still get us through.
Farmgirl Kim send me over and and I am so glad. You see, I have had 2 rough days and slept in this morning! (seriously). This was a lovely post and I feel like it was posted just for me :)

Gotta love this, it really does put a whole new perspective on things doesn't?
I'm sure glad I stopped by...its been along time.
I needed to read this, because the last 6 mos. my world was falling apart and I wondered where God was...now I know!
He has, once again, worked it out for good and I'm giving Him the glory!

Well if I had read it on the day you posted it wouldn't have had the meaning it had today. I got beat up by the enemy, I feel the strikes..but I am not dead, and God, I know is protecting me!!! He even encouraged me after two interviews today with a precious card and provision in the mail....so, as always, God spoke through you at the end of this long day...He always does...I think He is smiling at us two UT, Texas...girls!
this is so cool... :)
Day after day, moment after moment, this could be our dialog with our wonderful, all wise Heavenly Father. You shared this in a powerful way today. An important reminder of how His ways are always higher than our ways. Loved this!
I want to say AMEN, but sometimes, I really think it's OK with God for us to yell HOOORAY!! (I wonder if there is a Hebrew word for hooray...?)
This post just hit the spot with me for a million obvious reasons. I loved the one about the phone going dead the best of all. I guess I'm finally getting old enough or wise enough to see that God really does have a hand in every little thing, not just every big thing.
Part of our job testimony (the whole of which I may or may not EVER get from heart to keyboard) was an email that inexplicably went to "junk". We are so very certain that had he gotten it in a more timely manner, he would have wanted to pursue that job, and it was NOT the job God had chosen for him.
What a praise. What a God!
I like that your story began with the "Death Angel." Every day, the primary bit of "stuff" that happens to us is that we WAKE UP because we are alive, and didn't die in the night, and God gives us life and breath for another day - and so much energy that we even have strength to complain. :-)
Thanks for a reality jog.
whoa, i haven't seen that before and
it humbled me. grumble, grumble
if everything doesn't go the way i
think it should!
it is only fair (after last year) that you
issue a challenge for the OU/texas game.
you will probably trounce us, so be
merciful with the challenge, please.
