I'm so glad that you're posting more photos of your trip. I LOVE Norway too! One day I hope to return to visit. I think this time I will even appreciate it more.
Thanks for sharing....so beautiful! Isn't our God such a creative God? Oh if earth can be so beautiful just think what we have to look forward to in heaven. I hope you survive our triple digit heat!
Beautiful pictures! That streets look so clean. I reminds me alittle bit like Holland. When I lived in Germany (over 30 years go), my husband and I went to Holland for the weekend...now that was experience!
I, for one, hope you will take your time getting back in the groove. I'm enjoying the photos. Now I have a taste for seafood. What did you eat there? Love ya, friend!
I'm on my second read, Sonja, this time taking good notes and letting it all sink deeply within. We held our first prayer meeting last week... 15 in attendance with promises of return this week. More than anything, I saw and felt a deep hunger from those present. I haven't told you very much about the situation we've moved to, but safe to say, we need revival and prayer. I'm particularly moved by one of the final chapters that talks about discouragement and your father's advice therein.
Recognize it; refuse it; replace it with God's hope.
Hello Sonja, Beautiful memories from Tromso. Isn't it great that one can truly love two countries? Did you visit the"Ice Ocean"Cathedral?I've only seen it in pictures, but it's looking great. Shaped like the mountains surrounding the town.I'm so totally in your love with your aunt Maren. She's one in a million. What a true treasure. Sometimes suffering is bringing forth the gold in people. I guess she must have been gold on beforehand. Working patriotically for ones country was the only thing that would send a person to a German prison camp. It's true that women who fell in love with German soldiers were treated as outcasts. Even their children were bullied after the war, often also by teachers. Oh, war has such horrible "side effects".
I just read the posts I missed, and I'm commenting here. Lovely breathtaking photos, dear Sonja. How can you not love Norway? One half of you came from there, literally...but I think it is possible to love Norway with a whole heart... and also love America with a whole heart. You can't really love something that is so beautiful half heartedly!
Thank you for sharing about Tante Maren.
She sounded to me like Corrie Ten Boom too!
Wow...I really enjoyed reading these posts you have written. Such a privilege to know someone like you on blogland!
