Ladies Retreat...

I just wanted to share that I have been to a ladies retreat... several times today, and many times each week.

For this retreat, I never have to leave my office!

I would guess that many of you feel the same way.

There are blogs, and seasons in the lives of bloggers, that are as rich in the telling and reading as being at a real ladies retreat. I've been to some amazing ladies retreats through the years, powerful messages, divine fellowship and lots of fun.

I love the face to face fellowship with others ladies, but there is also something very special about sharing your hearts and lives on these pages. I am so encouraged and challenged and blessed by the words that you share.

Some of you are speakers, some writers, authors or just kindred spirits.

We name the dates and times of these retreats, and they follow along the lines of what God is teaching us.
There are many kinds of ladies gatherings, and our blogs are on that list!

I know that even if we don't all meet each other face to face down here, we will meet one day in heaven, and we will know each other! It will be like a ladies retreat that never ends!

But for now... I just love 'seeing' your faces day after day, and I am blessed to count you as friends.

Blessings to you today Sonja! When I saw your opening I got a bit green, because it has been 14 yrs since I was at a retreat and I do miss them. However, your words ring such truth-I am always encouraged by you dear one and so many others here. It is like the Lord opens the heavens and rains blessings down on us; you are a big part of those too.
Hugs today.

Dear Sonja,
This sounds to be the perfect solution for so many these days.
When people talk bad about being on the Internet, I defend it. You get what you are seeking for.
Isn't that marvelous??

In total agreement with your observations. There are so many wonderful women (and men) who blog and share their hearts and their lives. I weep nearly every day reading blogs and I laugh every day as well.

Oh how nice Sonja, I never thought about it like that but it is so true. I was thinking the other day, I used to read all of the time. Now I read blogs because I like the real life that is shared on each one. It makes books rather boring.
Yep I totally agree.

I feel the exact same way, and I couldn't have put it better. I can't tell you how many times I have read a post by a blog-sister and been as edified as if I had been at a retreat.

(BTW, I really do imagine a gathering of my favorite bloggers in my head sometimes.)

My sentiments exactly! A lot of my non-blogging friends just do not "get" the whole blogging world. But, that's okay, I do get it and I have been richly blessed by these almost 3 past years of blogging.

I certainly hope you know how much you mean to me Sonja! I can't imagine life without my blogging sisters. Yes, I have a community of friends in real life. But I consider my blogging community so very important. And if we don't get to meet this side of heaven (although I hope we do), I will be spending much time face to face with you then. We can have fun and no rush.

Love,
Debbie

Oh no ... my comment just went poof. I'll try again, but forgive me if this is a duplicate :)

I always feel right at home here, Sonja, taking away either encouragement or enlightenment, and often humor. I am blessed to count you among my cyber-sisters!

Ah...such sweetness in friendship I found here in my first blog to read this morning. Blogging sisters in Christ are a blessing to me.

Getting to know you has certainly brought a brightness to my life. We have so much in common. Yes, indeed, we will meet on the other side of heaven's shore.

I feel a blessed connection when ever I visit your place...or you visit mine. It was meant to be. I so appreciate you!
