"Faith goes up the stairs that love has made and looks out the window which hope has opened."
(Charles Haddon Spurgeon)
Easter always brings a fresh surge of hope to the heart of the believer. Once again we see what His gift of love has given us.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.John 15:13 (KJV)"...
Because of that love... we climb the stairs and look out the window of hope... with hope!
...we head into spring with the fresh touch of where we have been this weekend. Our hearts have visited the source of our hope and been renewed... That focusing on calvary that happens each Easter is important, necessary and always brings us something new... The old story is new every Easter.
And so, we move into the next season... expectant and with a fresh outlook... the window is open!

Sonja,
You've said everthing here with this post I would wish to say if I had time to post this morning and were not so sleepy! Yep! had to work last night.
So thanks!
"The old story is new every Easter" just love that!
Thank you so much. Once again you made my day.
Spurgeon sure had a way with words, didn't he?!
Fresh & new. Yes ... I like that. Today is not the same as yesterday. The best is always yet to come, and it begins with this moment.
May fresh breezes, fresh blooms, and fresh faith be yours today, and always,
Kathleen
I love that Spurgeon quote.
Praise God for the risen Savior; He makes all things new!
The next season ...hmm.
I am trusting God with my next season as He moves me in new directions. This is very scary for me but I'm learning to trust Him.
Thank you for your prayers and wisdom.
Love you,
Debbie
Beautifully said...the next and new season of another open door is what I'm in with the LORD. He's amazing!
Love and hugs.
I can't think of a time when I've been more refreshed in the Spirit, Sonja. This has been a blessed Easter walk for me and my family. I'm now ready for that open window and for the promise of Spring!
Blessed by the name and life of the LORD!

What a gift hope is, and what better hope do we have than the story of Easter? Thank you for sharing such timely words and a beautiful quote.
Sonja, I hope you had a wonderful Easter. Ours was very nice, as we were surely graced with the gift of hope. I am truly ready for a new beginning; yet, God is waiting just a bit longer, and He knows exactly what He is doing.
Much love, and many blessings,
Andrea

How wonderful that He opens those windows, when we see no other light!
Amen! There is such a sense of new beginnings after Easter!
Beautifully refreshing! Yes Yes Yes, I look out the open window with wide open eyes breathing in with great love, intensity, excitement and HOPE all of what is yet to come through Him.
You are so inspiring. I love you Sonja.

I just love my visits here to this blog. That picture of the open window beautifully depicts the profound quote. The Easter story never gets old, and in fact Hope springs anew in my heart every time we celebrate the ressurection. You shared this in an inspiring and uplifting way...as you always do. Thank you!
