Rosebud, Texas...
I can't go any further without writing about a very special place...Rosebud, Texas! This is where our son Joe and his wife Molly live. Joe is the pastor of a church there and we have so many wonderful memories to treasure from our trips to visit them, the most recent was a few weeks ago. Carole and the 3 girls and I went and stayed with Joe and Molly and 'snuggly' and had 3 days of fun and blessings. We visited Calvert, Texas and were treated to a delicious brunch... and chocolates! We had the fun job of putting together Joe's new office in the church, and we loved every minute of it. It is such a wonderful new office for him to work in. We had TWO cakes for Carole's birthday, thanks to Molly. Not to mention her yummy dinners! Then we had the services on Sunday morning, it is such a joy to worship with these people, and to hear them sing, and to see our son doing what God has called him to do, and doing it well. He and Molly are such a great team. This church, like so many churches, has had its share of real ups and downs, so it was especially meaningful to sit and worship with these dear people. We continue to keep all of them in our prayers, for God's very best in Rosebud, Texas!

Special day with 2 very special people!

Today was so neat! Carole and Dedra (daughter & daughter in law) and I met for lunch and to specifically share prayer requests for each of their kids, (our grandkids,) as they begin the new school year. It is such a JOY to hear them share, these are moms who really KNOW their kids, and want God's best for each of them. It is our privilege to lift each child in prayer as we think of them, and to know what their strengths and weaknesses are, so we can really pray for God to strengthen, change and mold each very special life. As I was driving home, I was thanking God for each child, and for their moms, who are investing themselves daily to be sure their children are growing in their knowledge of God and in becoming the people He wants them to be. Same prayer that we want for our own lives!...So...a special day, lunch at P.F.Chang's, and shopping at Waters Creek....all that and our sharing over lunch about each child. Doesn't get any better!

random thoughts for today...

A few random thoughts......

What is so liberating and freeing to me is:

IT'S ABOUT GOD.... IT'S ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT GOD....IT'S NOT ABOUT ME. ...IT'S ABOUT BRINGING GLORY TO HIM....KNOWING HIM..... LOVING HIM AND LIVING HIM.

Gage is 11 today....

Gage is 11 years old today! He is one of our 6 grandchildren and we love him to pieces! Here are some of the neat things we love about GAGE:

He is funny and loves to have fun.
He is sensitive and cares about others feelings.
He is generous.
He is kind and helpful.
He is easy and fun to be around.
He is a fast runner and a great athlete.
He knows how to be 'cool' and he knows how to be 'laid back'.
He always laughs when he trys to whistle and I'm making him crack up.
He loves his family and his grandparents, and isn't afraid to show it.
He is a good friend, a good son, brother and grandson, and we all love him 11 times over!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAGE!!!

Here is a list of 3 of my very favorite web sites or blogs. Take the time to look at them and you will be 'hooked'....I grew up listening to the very best christian leaders and speakers, among them my own mom and dad, so I am a little spoiled, and you can take my word on it...these 3 sites will bless you like crazy!

(From this one you can go to Harvest Womens Ministry and hear some of the BEST women speakers I know, one of them I grew up with in California, Jean McClure. Every tape is just RICH and you will grow in your faith as you listen.)

my office space...

I finally finished at least the one full wall in my office, and sent this picture in to MY SPACE. It was fun, got some positive feedback, and I love sitting in here at my computer desk and knowing that at least one wall looks finished.
