My first new year 'miracle'....

This may not appear to be a 'miracle' to you... but for me... I think it is the first time I've ever seen my husband in all of these years with a WHISK in his hand!

He is making tomato soup!

He even looks a little bit pleased with himself, doesn't he??

He is smart, sharp, funny, helpful and so many wonderful things... but a 'handy man in the kitchen'... no!... So for today, I'm thinking this is a good start to the new year!!

Congratulations...maybe he will be begin to enjoy cooking like my hubby. I am willingly surrendering the kitchen to him. He retired a year ago and has begun to cook more and more.

Blessings,andrea

Your very handsome husband does look pleased with himself! I hope the Lord will [again] one day bring me a man that will share my passion for cooking!

Not many men like the kitchen except to EAT!

Catch these glimpses while you can - they are probably few and far between!

And to think...it only took 50 years to get him into the kitchen to open a can of soup! Just think what the next 50 years will bring - Why I wouldn't be surprised to see a picture of him taking his socks out of the dryer in 2060! Ah, this gives me so much hope in the new year for my own man...one can only hope he knows how to work an electric can opener.

He does look so contented with himself. Or maybe he is just amused at having his picture taken. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and the lovely e-mail. Wonderful surprise for the last day of the year. And funny about the names, too.

This made me giggle... maybe there is hope for my Joe-Joe:) We have wonderful men that just don't think about being "wonderful" in the kitchen. My mom said in my early married years..."honey, the wife just has a lot more to do around the house...that's just the way it is." How true her words are :(.
