valentines... or not!....

I know, I know... this doesn't apply to any of us, but in thinking about Valentine's Day, I saw these and got a chuckle out of them... Sometimes a little humor is a good teacher too!

Oh my... that was my husband and me in the second cartoon (before we were married) when he picked me up one Sunday for church. I'm not kidding.

What a mess he was; he still is in many ways, but now he's my mess, and I'm his.

What a pair we are.

By visiting your blog today, I received a good laugh from the cards, especially #2 since that does apply to us, and a good cry. Why a cry you might ask? Because I read your post about the love of God and then I listened to George Beverly Shea singing the song, "The Love of God". That is my mother's very favorite song. She and my grandma would sing it often and thus I have all the words memorized. Grandma went to heaven 1 year ago, and as I listened I thought to myself, "that now that love is more real than ever before". What a beautiful and encouraging song. Thank you so much for sharing it. No one does it better than George Beverly Shea. I also was so blessed by the passage in Romans that you shared. I never read that particular and favorite passage, from the Message Bible. I really liked it! We truly do not have anything to fear in this world, do we!
