Reflecting...

There are times when I am reminded to just be still and reflect on what God has brought me to, and through.

I listened to this song by Damaris Carbaugh and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir last night, and again this morning. I can't listen to the words without tears... tears that remind my own heart of the faithfulness of God, all through the years. Take a minute and listen, it will bless you, I promise!

In my moments of fear
Through every pain, every tear
There's a God who's been faithful to me
When my strength was all gone
When my heart had no song
Still in love He's proved faithful to me
Every word He's promised is true
What I thought was impossible
I've seen my God do
He's been faithful
Faithful to me.

He's been faithful to me, faithful to me
Looking back His love and mercy I see
Though in my heart I have questioned
Even failed to believe
Yet He's been faithful, faithful to me

When my heart looked away
The many times I could not pray
Still my God was faithful to me
The days I spent so selfishly
Reaching out for what pleased me
Even then God was faithful to me
Every time I come back to Him
He is waiting with open arms
and I see once again...

He's been faithful to me...

I was at work in our computer lab and was able to read your post. I couldn't wait to get home to comment. I LOVE the Brooklyn Tabernacle. I have this song on a CD and love to listen to it. The words are so meaningful. He is so faithful!

Love you Sonja,
Debbie

PS. Oh how I wish one day you and I could visit NYC and go to the Brooklyn Tabernacle together. I've been there several times and love it.

Do you know that I met this woman years ago, at our church in California, when her mother AIMIE CORTESE used to come annually to preach at our church? What a delightful family. We loved hearing the word of God preached with a Bronx Puerto-Rican accent and feel the fire of the spirit emanate from this extraordinary mother. When Damaris would get up to sing, the roof felt as if could almost come down from the power of the spirit. What a delight to see here again, here.

Sonja, thank you for coming to visit me. It is a blessing of God to see His grace in my life. I had said, "God, before I turn 60 years old, I would love to be published in a magazine." He beat me by 4 years..I'll be 56 in April, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

Blessings to you dear one! Anita

How beautiful!

Yes, His faithfulness upholds me through every moment of every day, through every circumstance or situation, through the up's and down's of being me.

Oh, the safety of His arms.

GOD BLESS!

I came here early this AM and listened to the whole wonderful song. Believe it or not, I had never heard it. If I have, I never LISTENED so much as this morning.

It fell like rain on tender plants.

The fact that I got interrupted in the middle of commenting just makes me giggle. Why not? I am nothing if not Debbie Interrupted.

Grin.

This made me happy, because I've lost
count how many times I have sung
this lovely and encouraging song at
our church. One more thing we have
in common. We love the same song!

Dear Sonia,
I visited your blog again and read back through many of your older posts. I did that just because I like how you share and your posts inspire and bless me in such a special way! I like how you shared the powerful words to this song. They comfort me. Damaris Carbaugh sang at our church in this past year, and her singing spoke to my heart.

You are such a dear lady to me! I thank God that He brought you into my life! I look forward to meeting you someday, maybe sooner than we think:) Thanks for all the kind and encouraging comments you leave on my blog from time to time. Keep looking up!
