our weather... our life!...

This was the view from an upstairs room in our home this past week...

I read this in Psalm 147 the other morning...

"He sends the snow in all its lovely whiteness, and scatters the frost upon the ground. and hurls the hail upon the earth. Who can stand before his feezing cold?...

But then he calls for warmer weather, and the spring winds blow and all the river ice is broken"...

What a picture of life... in February in Texas, and ... in our own life as we journey with Him!

When we are in the middle of winter, we must always remember that spring is coming!

Spring is a little earlier for southerns. We will probably have a couple more weeks of rain and more rain. We look forward to March to start fixing our flower beds and gardens.

I am new at your blog. I invite you to visit and follow if you like.

And look at today! Who would have known? While recovering from my fall...ouch!, I have been thinking about the last week. There were prayers offered before the throne for the human trafficking that would take place all week...you know, maybe God sent us that snow to slow it all down...if so, than any inconvenience, sliding in the car, sliding on the ice, being shut in...well I say, bring on the snow! His ways are truly higher than mine.
We also had a great time just being still...now I wished I had of taken more advantage of that time...maybe next time I will listen to His soft voice better.
Enjoy the 50 plus weather...you can get out this week.

Dear Sonja,
It's indeed white like a Christmas eve down in Texas too.
My mother always praise the Lord who in his wisdom let the white snow fall in the darkest season of the year.
Hope you have some solid wool to put on, before you go out in the garden to make angles in the snow.
It is great fun. You'd better try, it may be years till you get the next chance.
From Felisol
P.S. A snow angle picture, please.

And after the winter we have had here in Texas this year, we're ready for the Spring! But... I am glad that He sends each of the seasons, for they all have a beauty of their own.

Sonja -
Beautiful snow, and wonderful hope, to look forward to a colorful spring in God's beauty. Here in N.C., where we are visiting, we had frost this morning, but no snow.

A lovely picture! ... Marsha

Lovely photos Sonja. I so love the way Scripture tells us what we have to look forward to and then shows us in such splendor.

I don't mind winter and snow but about February I'm ready for it to end and for spring to come!

Oh yes ... after snow's bitter blight is the hope of the sun's (son's) bountiful blessing. I know a lot of people needing to cling to that reality today. Thank you.

Blessings,
Kathleen

I heard you were having a colder winter than usual. We have too. We have so much snow, we're running out of places to put it.

LOVE that gorgeous flower picture. A little reminder that one day spring will finally come...

Hi Sonja,

Beautiful scenery outside your window.
Great scripture verse. I love how the Lord is always
encouraging us to look ahead, and hold onto his promises.

God bless you,
Michele
