One of the songs is in my mind this week as our grandkids begin another school year.
...Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile...
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile...
This is our 3 kids, on THEIR first day of school, way back when...
See what I mean?? The days, the years are slipping through my fingers...
I'm so glad to be a part of every one of them, including the 2 whose first day of school is still in the future...
We are so blessed!

Yes, you are blessed and to get to be a part of their daily lives is a double blessing. Enjoy!
Awww... yes, you are. May they all have a good year at school and learn a lot. Those wee ones are so adorable!
I have always seemed to mark time by the school year. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was getting children ready for the first day of school...and now it's my children's turn to watch their children grow and mature. You are indeed blessed, isn't it wonderful to be part of it all
And I too am so blessed, because I get to spend the entire day with these kids! I will be teaching two 8th grade French classes and one high school class comprised of juniors and seniors! I am teaching someone's beloved children! HEY THERE SONJA! Anita
They are so adorable:) God's gift:)
Wow! We are on the same page today. This is a special post! I love seeing the then and the now. What a good looking family! We are so very blessed! We are so fortunate that we can pray for them every day.
Sonja - No fair, no tears!
Yes, I have many memories of those growing-up years! No grandkids yet, but I do look fondly back on the time I had with my sons. One thing I miss most is this - with no one in school, without that END in June and START in September, summer seems to come and go faster. I miss those benchmarks.
But, unlike most of the moms I knew, I always felt SAD at the end of summer. I really enjoyed having my boys home, and was always sad to see them go.
Hmmm - still feel the same way!!
GOD BLESS!
Yes you are blessed Sonja! Your three are tow heads just like many Norwegians. We were that way when we were little too. I enjoyed the photos of your family. And I love the music from Mama Mia!
Love,
Debbie
Bless you my friend; yes, MADAME RIVERA strikes again, this time at the secondary level! teehee...
Blessed, indeed! These kids look like a lot of fun. I know you enjoy them tremendously.
Those girls are beautiful! Love that song, too.
not much better blessings then these are there? Enjoy!
I love that song also! It sure went through my mind when I danced with my son at the wedding. Time passes so quickly..enjoy these grandchildren. The pictures are great!!!
So my first day of blog visiting in a while turns out to make me get all weepy. I would blame the hormones, but I think it's more the fault of time marching by at my place too. I pray (very literally and not just semantically) that someday I have grandchildren as beautiful as yours.
