I'm just asking...
Have you ever seen anything cuter than these 2 little ladies sharing a cup of tea?
Molly, their mom and our daughter in law is the original 'tea party girl'. She gives tea parties for the church ladies, friends, students (she is a school teacher), and anyone else who happens to need a good old tea party! She's even working on the idea of a tea party business for young moms who are too busy, and want to hire a birthday party for their girls. I love the idea, and I know she can do it!
She snapped this picture of Gracie and Faithie, still in their Sunday School clothes after church. I love that she uses her 'real teacups', the china ones.
These 2 little sisters who are our precious grandaughters, are growing up like many of yours, learning to share with each other, even with something as simple as a good cup of tea!

Darling! What a good idea your daughter-in-law has! I think it would be very successful.
Oh..my..goodness...they are just ADORABLE! Love this. There are many children's "Tea Houses" out here. They are soo expensive that only the very rich could afford to use them for parties and such though in my opinion. Someone coming into YOUR home and setting up such things would be wildly successful out here. Wildly! Good luck to her!
That was too adorable!!
I think your DIL's idea is wonderful. My sister has an annual tea party at her house, and it's always so much fun. Goodness knows that busy moms of young ones would love the chance to have a special birthday party for their girls.
Have you ever visited Kathy's blog? She used to give tea parties at her local mall, and she is a real tea afficionado. (I looked that up, and it still says I'm spelling it wrong...)
Send me an email if you're interested in her link.
OK, now carry on and cheerio. (My best English teatime talk!)
Precious photo, these two little gals are just too cute. I think your DIL has a wonderful idea I know my grand daughters love tea parties
Very and pretty and oh so precious.
When my kids were all young, even the rough and tumble boys loved tea parties.
We had them a lot when I read them Narnia. Such a good reminder.
These little ladies are simply beautiful...look so huggable! Is that a word? Oh well, they do. I used to love tea parties when I was little. Sometimes my mother would sit down to tea with me. Sweet memories.
Loved it.
Fantastic.
Love your post!
Love your post!
This is just precious and shouts."God's faithfulness"..both such miracles of God are growing into beautiful little girls.
I love this! I'm a huge believer in tea parties for girls of all ages. I think there is a sweetness to gentility that if we do not foster in this generation may be lost forever. There is a cultural hardness that prevails out there today. I see it all the time, even in families who ought to know better. They want their girls to be "hip" even at tender ages. How do I know? Because I see it in the way they dress them and what outlets for entertainment they choose for them.
To know that there are still moms and little girls with china tea cups is a great encouragement to me.
And YES. Tell her to start the business. Please!
So sweet! Finest moments!
A tea party is somewhat of a lost art in our world today, and I love seeing those who take the time and creativity to host them. What a cute picture of two precious little girls! I think your DIL's idea is a good one. I know it would go in my part of the world. Thanks so much for sharing this special moment.
Sonja, thank you for this lovely post and your comment on my blog. Happy New Year to you as well. I could have sworn that I saw you on FaceBook? Is this true? Would love to be your friend if so. Let me know. Blesings and hugs.
I love the names: Gracie, Faithie and MOLLY! The picture is adorable.
What a fun, sweet form of play. Not only are the girls learning to share, they're learning the more subtle forms of being a "lady".
What a splendid idea to come up with a service to create what the world needs more of: TEA TIME. YES, KEEP CALM and DRINK TEA! I so agree! And what precious names: Grace and Faith. My mum's name was grace and did she ever live up to her name, even though you never wanted to cross mummy...she knew when to whip out the discipline, but also the heart of compassion.
Sonja dear, thank you so much for coming to visit. I enjoy trying to look at things in a slightly different way....there is just too much beauty out there that our God gave us to try and figure out and make something of it. We are created in His image, therefore, CREATE AND CARRY ON! XOXO Anita
That's a lot of pink in one picture! Like you, I love the fact that they're using real tea cups. So precious.
